I’m a freelance photographer telling stories through a documentary lens. I’d be honored if you let me help you tell yours. My work catches what may only exist for a millisecond–a glimpse of joy, wonder, or strength. I am both lucky and skilled in revealing the emotion that best shares a moment in history, a community’s connection, or a person’s character.
Along with ‘playing’ photographer I also assist. Assisting is some of the most fun I’ve had on jobs from learning how to tie fishing line to hang flying cheese curds to jumping off inflatables into a natural waterpark lake. I love the creative folks it allows me to meet, work with and support. I am known for giving my all to a set. I have and will continue to swim, jump, hide, lift and learn for any team.
I grew up in a Milwaukee suburb, then moved to Madison in 2012 and made it my home. I love when work gives me the opportunity to travel. In the wild you’ll see me wrangling my niblings or sliding into climbing shoes (maybe both at the same time). I try to balance such a fast paced career with slow intentionality despite how fast I zip around town on my bike.
